MY AWESOME QUOTE

"I LOVE MY PAST..AND IF I JUST FOCUS ON MY PRESENT..I MIGH AS WELL FORGET WHO I AM"

I've heard so many quotes that literally tell us to forget about the past and move on, living life in present time.  But in my opinion if we occasionally do not go mentally back in the past, we forget the things we loved to do, the aromas we smelled, the people we used to meet... and so so so much more.  Those things in the past made who we are now.  So if we stop thinking about the past, we are most likely forget who we really are.  Sometimes a look back into the past, may change the decisions you make today.

Just like in the photo above, all you see is what's in front of you, BUT do not be afraid and - look back, because this might be one of the best turns of your life.

AM I BEING PUNK'D?

TODAY WAS A VERY LONG DAY AT WORK!
My first two classes where with the little tots.  I teach gymnastics during the week, that takes so much time of my life, but this job is very rewarding!  Seeing each child achieving their little goals step by step, that what makes your life complete and happier:)
The FUN thing that happened today was just out of this world, literally...

So one of my little girls, Karma, kept talking to herself and continually watching over her shoulder.  That caught my attention, so I have decided to get even closer to her and see what was going on.  When I got closer, her voice got louder and I realized she was talking to......???

So i asked Karma:  Sweety, who are you talking to?
Karma:  My friend, Jason! (She said this with such exclamation and confidence..)
Me:  Jason? (at that very second, I felt the creepy goosebumps rising on my body)
Karma:  Yes Jason, he is here!
This is when I thought I was being punk'd by a tot.  But what if I WAS NOT!  Then I remembered that movie, when this little girl had an imaginary friend....And I decided to play along with Karma..
Me:  So, Karma, is he your imaginary friend?
Karma:  YES, he is my magical friend!  (she smiled in excitement)
Me:  Is he always with you?  Is he good to you?  (haha for some reason, I had to ask that last question:))
Karma:  Yes, and he is upset, because he can not sit next to me!
I quickly told her, to tell him that it is OK to sit and stay next to her through out the whole practice...!  My game worked, her and him where happy for the rest of the class.  Just one more thing, that was still creeping me out, SHE KEPT HOLDING HIS HAND..............

SML: The Still. 1985.

Just about the sunset.  Without the sun that is.  The wind is at zero, and no movement noticeable, which gives me a feeling of "the Earth stands still".  Old snow covered the land; just a bunch of animal made footprints peek through.  Grey roads, that take away the "winter wonderland" effect.  Damn.  Some memories just knocked on my brain, so I guess it is time to share some of the best moments of my life with you.

It was back in the Winter of 1985.  December 20th.  The day I was born, notice, not the year.  I clearly remember it being a very cold, but brightly sunny day.  The temperatures, definitely, were in the minuses, otherwise I would not remember my boogers turning into an ice inside my nostrils.  As long as I could remember,  breathing in the coldest air was new to me.  Every step would make a crispy sound.  My dad was patiently tagging me behind him, holding the rope tightly in his mitten covered hand, while I was comfortably sitting in the sleds..  I was very inpatient, because we were going to pick a birthday present for me!!!

We have crossed a few  hills.  My strong dad was easily dragging me up the hill, and as we went down, I could feel the love in the air, because I knew, that I was not the only one to enjoy the slide down.  We were slicing the blowing cold air with our happy faces.  And there it was, the last obstacle, before we reached our only store in town.  We had to cross the frozen lake.  At first, I was scared, but as we hit the trail, foot-made by people, it was magical.  We were in the middle of the lake, and on top of it.  How cool is that?

Finally, we reached the store.  And off I ran!  Almost slipped on the melting snow inside of the store, that people brought with their boots from the outside.  But it was not going to stop me from running around the store, like a crazy bee circling its hive, only I was circling the stands with the Soviet made toys.  And there IT was!!  BLUE KITTEN!  With a big beautiful eyes.  Those eyes caught my eyes instantly, and we both stared at each other.  There was no question, I WANTED IT!

On the way back, my present, my kitty, was happily "running" alongside of my slides.  Since then, my Kuzya, has always been alongside of my life!

Yours Truly,
Yulia.

DIY: Lady Gaga Mask

Hello World!

Today I would like to share one of my DIY projects that I did for Halloween!:)  Somewhere in my closet I had a cool Blonde Hair wig...  So, I decided to use it.  The question rose: Who am I going to try to look like with that wig?  Of Course GAGA, haha.  And then, song after song, po-po-po-poker face got stuck in my face and piece after piece, po-po-po-poker face mask emerged!

These are the steps that show how I made my Lady Gaga "Poker Face Mask"

I used the old disco ball from the addict for my main "ingredient"

First I disassembled it!  The mirror pieces are sharp, so be very careful taking them off.  If you don't know how to disassemble the disco ball safely yourself, then, simply ask somebody else to do it for you.  I asked my strong man!:) Next pictures shows what I got..

I found an old mask that I have not used in ages, and took off the red velvety fabric coating it had previously on.  Now I have a white "naked" mask..

The glue was in my drawer..

I applied the glue to the mask, and stuck the mirror pieces from the disassembled disco ball to it.  I used the simple straight pateern.

It only took me 40 minutes to finish the mask!

Oh, I also added some feathers to one side of my Lady Gaga "Poker Face" mask and I think it looks fairly cute!

To make my mask cool, I also added a plastic flower to my short lace glove, and a few feathers and mirror pieces to my long lace glove!

FINAL PRODUCT OUT IN THE CITY!:)

ENJOY! <3

Yours truly,
Juliette..
